I very much enjoyed listening to
Kevin Vanhoozer's talk on Tom Wright at the recent Wheaton Conference - not the least because of the way he talks about the 'dialogical virtues' at the end. He certainly levels some strong criticisms at Wright, as well as his opponents. But it is done in exactly the right way - without caricature.

I concur!
Thanks for this Michael. I've been reading Wright's commentary on Romans as well as Jesus and the Victory of God, and while enjoying it thoroughly I have wondered if he imports some of his biblical theological categories a little too heavily on to the text.
I found myself agreeing with his thoughts on "the righteousness of God" in Romans 1:17, but then struggled to see how such a reading would work in the latter part of chapter 3.
I took the time to listen to Kevin's presentation and thought it was very illuminating. Thanks for the link!
Could do with a few more metaphors, don't you think ;-)
Thanks very much for the link, Michael.
