I am hoping for a clearer and more positive and more Biblical vision of the role of the affections/ feelings/ emotions in the Christian life. I feel like sometimes Christians do not articulate this dimension of our experience welll - we either overdo or underdo it. I think sometimes the academic route has been too defensive and too suspicious of the emotions. We at Moore are guilty of this sometimes. This conference is meant to be constructive, not reactive. I'd be happy for a any input that could help us to this end.
